Christina Adams, mezzo-soprano

Mezzo-soprano Christina G. Adams enjoys a diverse performance career that spans opera, art song, choral music, pop, jazz, and musical theatre. She currently is an ensemble member with the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Chicago Symphony Chorus. Adams is an alumnus of the Sarasota Opera’s Apprentice Artist Program, is the recipient of an Encouragement Award from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, and is a member of the American Prize winning vocal consort Vox Nova. An avid performer of new music, she has worked with prominent composers Jake Heggie and Mark Adamo, as well as librettists Mark Campbell and Gene Scheer. She holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Colorado-Boulder, and dual Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Missouri in Music and English.
