Jereld Sa’Von Hayes, tenor
Jereld Sa’Von Hayes is a Tenor from Kansas City, Missouri. He was recently described in an article by “KC Arts Beat” as having “a fine, expressive tenor voice”. In the Spring of 2019, he performed the role of Tamino in Mozart’s The Magic Flute with the University of Missouri’s Show-Me Opera program. Jereld’s other Operatic full/partial roles include: Oronte (Alcina) full, Stage Manager (Our Town) full, Jasper (A Certain Madness) full, Priest/Librarian (Elizabeth Cree) full, Ernesto (Don Pasquale) partial, David (Die Meistersinger) partial, Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore) partial, Rodolfo (La Bohème) partial, Orphée (Orphée aux enfers) partial, as well the Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto) in a scene. Jereld has performed solos with the The University of Missouri’s University Singers, The University of Missouri’s Concert Chorale, William Jewell’s Cardinalis, and The Liberty Symphonic Orchestra. Jereld began his professional Opera career in the ’22-23 season at The Lyric Opera of Kansas City, performing in the chorus for their productions of Carmen, La Traviata, and The Shining. In competitions, Jereld has been awarded with 1st place at the annual MMTA voice competition in 2018, 2nd place at the NATS regional voice competition in 2016, and was also recently a semi-finalist in the 2023 International Classical Singer competition. Jereld is currently working towards his Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance at William Jewell College and will be graduating in the Spring of ’24.
